Virginia Burglar & Fire Alarm Association
Votes to Realign with NBFAA
Chapter Sites Benefits to Members
Ashland, Virginia, Dec. 4, 2007 – At a recent meeting, members of the Virginia Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (VBFAA) voted to realign with the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) effective January, 2008.
“The board of directors has been considering this move for some time, and after reviewing all of the benefits that the membership and chapter receive from affiliation with NBFAA, it was an easy decision,” explained VBFAA President John D. Kochensparger, Training Director, Certified Training Academy, Ashland, Virginia.
“We are looking forward to, once again, working alongside NBFAA and the other chapters. We believe that the partnership lends great value to our members, our state association and our industry. With this move our members gain the benefit of local, state and national networking, support and representation. And, equally important to all of us, we add our support to strengthen the ‘collective voice’ of the industry,” added Kochensparger.
The NBFAA Board of Directors will meet in January and will vote at that time to grant the VBFAA status as a chartered chapter. VBFAA leaders will gather in Dallas with the NBFAA leadership for the 2008 Leadership Summit Jan. 16-18, 2008.
