NBFAA welcomes KBFAA as a state-chartered chapter
Unanimous vote by board

Irving, Texas, August 21, 2008 – Recently, the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) welcomed Kansas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (KBFAA) into the association as a state-chartered chapter.

“We’re glad to have Kansas as a chapter. Their participation will make the association, and the industry, stronger,” said NBFAA President Mike Miller. “We welcome the vision, knowledge and fresh perspectives that the KBFAA leadership and members have to offer.”

Now that KBFAA is a chartered chapter, members renewing in Kansas renew in 2009 with the either association will have membership in both associations. With the dual membership, they will receive valuable benefits from NBFAA such as discounts on education and training, government relations representation at the national level, public relations exposure and updates on industry issues, trends and standards, as well as access to all local and state-level networking and unique activities in the KBFAA.

NBFAA, as a courtesy to the KBFAA, will collect 2009 membership dues for both associations. Any questions about the upcoming transition should be directed to the NBFAA Membership Department at (888) 447-1689 ext. 205.
