AMPS Update

One of the ways that NBFAA serves you is through the timely delivery of industry news and information. With that thought in mind, we have an update to the AMPS sunset date.

There is now an additional resource that you can provide to your customers who may be impacted by this upcoming event. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) now has an official proclamation about the AMPS transition that you can provide to your customers in printed form or by referring them to the FCC’s Web site:

NBFAA has also updated the Sample Letter for Customers located in the Members Only section of the Web site to include this information.

If you haven’t yet begun to review your accounts and/or notify your customers, we urge you to do so today. The February 18, 2008 deadline date is just around the corner!

For background information on AMPS, see the alert sent to members in May.
